Caffè Musica presents Joanne Rand, Friday, April 6th, 2018, 7:00 - 9:00pm, $10.00 cover: We are honored and thrilled to welcome one of the most unique singer-songwriters of our time. Joanne Rand is a powerhouse of talent as a vocalist, musician, writer, and performer. Joanne (piano, guitar, vocals) will be joined by local bassist, Rebecca Young.
Raised in Georgia, by way of Chicago, Santa Fe, Seattle, and San Francisco, Rand has been based in rural Northern California for the past 20 years. She has performed alongside such greats as Bonnie Raitt, Micky Hart, John Hartford, John Trudell, and Dougie McLean. Her 2014 release was recorded and produced by her mentor, the late, great Steve Young, “Seven Bridges Road.”
Rand is releasing her 16th CD of original songs. After thirty-plus years of touring with her original “PsychedelicRoots-Americana,” Rand’s current quartet, Rand-Randles Diggins-Dalmolen, was dubbed a "supergroup" at the 2016 Humboldt Folklife Festival.
