Caffè Musica proudly presents Instrumental Ladies of Jazz, Friday, February 16th, 2017, 7:00 - 9:00pm, $10.00 cover: This event showcases some of the finest female jazz instrumentalists in the Seattle area. Join us in welcoming host, pianist and composer Ann Reynolds and special guest, Susan Pascal (vibraphone). This performance is being filmed for a documentary on women in Jazz. We expect it to be sold out. Please make your reservations early. Early bird dinner seating is at 5pm. Seating for the dinner show begins at 6pm.
Susan Pascal has played four tours of Singapore and concerts, workshops and clinics across the United States. Pascal is heard on film soundtracks including “The Blind Side”, “The Wedding Planner” and “Office Space” and as a guest artist on many recordings. Pascal’s many projects include the Soul Sauce Quintet tribute to Latin jazz icon Cal Tjader; and the BRAZIL PROJECT band featuring choros and Brazilian jazz.

Ann Reynolds is a composer and piano player. She has played in NW Jazz community since mid 1990s, but is perhaps best known for her Cuban music. In 2014 she released a CD, Para Cuba Con Amor, of her own Cuban music compositions, covering a wide set of genres. She has also played in jazz big bands (SWOJO) for many years and teaches private piano lessons.
