Caffè Musica presents jazz vocalist, Leah Stillwell with guitarist, Tim Volpicella, 7:00-9:00p, Saturday, June 24 (except WSMTA members): Come join us for some excellent jazz and a fabulous meal this evening.
Washington native, Leah Stillwell, fell in love with jazz in her teens influence by greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Billie Holiday. Her vocal style is a personal amalgamation of classic jazz standards and other newer styles that have appealed to her ear, heart and soul. Her sultry voice and laid back expression gracefully capture this classic genre with a new charisma. Leah is active in the local jazz community and we are thrilled to welcome her to our venue. She will be accompanied by GRAMMY-nominated guitarist Tim Volpicella.
Tim displays an outstanding ability to craft music and sound. His passion for excellence is apparent in his skills as a guitarist as well as in his work as a sound design and audio production specialist. He has performed for audiences in the United States, Europe, Japan and South America and includes appearances at Earshot Jazz, Monterey Jazz Festival, San Francisco Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival and the Lennie Tristanno Jazz Festival (Naples, Italy), and a five-year stint with the John Carlton Orchestra at Harrah’s Headliner Room (Reno, NV).
