Caffè Musica presents guitarists Charlie Patnoe and Andrew Ferguson, 7:00-9:00p, Friday, May 19 - no cover: Please join us in welcoming these up and coming guitarists in their first appearance at the cafe.
Andrew Ferguson is an impassioned guitarist educated in the “Jazz” idiom. He brings both his technical guitar skills and advanced musical theory knowledge to his teaching. Since 2009, Andrew has played with various groups and has arranged and composed commercial music around the greater Seattle area. In 2015 he completed his Bachelor degree in instrumental performance from Cornish College of the Arts. He currently teaches guitar privately and through Shoreline Community College and plays with several groups around the greater Northwest area.
Charlie Patnoe, a Washington native, began his musical career at the age of 8; originally inspired by Stevie Ray Vaughan and the Grateful Dead. He joined the middle school jazz band solely as an attempt to play music in a structured setting and fell in love with the style. He studied initially at the University of Washington focusing in classical guitar and playing as a freshman in their top big band. He later moved to Los Angeles to study at Musicians Institute where he focused on contemporary jazz under the instruction of Peter Hume and Gary Solt.
