Caffe Musica presents the Del Rey, Friday, October 13, 7 - 9pm, $10.00 cover. We are thrilled to welcome back Northwest treasure, Del Rey. A virtuosic musician, consummate entertainer, and music scholar, Del Rey captivates all who come to see her play. Acoustic Guitar Magazine deemed Miss Rey, "one of the greatest modern players of the metal-bodied resonator guitar” while Ukulele Magazine wrote she is, "One of the Ukulele’s Most Important Players and Teachers." Del is joined this evening by bassist, Matt Weiner.
Matt Weiner (Standup bass) can be spotted in Seattle playing bass and singing in the Casey MacGill Trio, as well as with Barton Carroll, Miles & Karina, Bric-a-Brac Trio, Wayne Horvitz's "Painting The Town Red" Project, The New Orleans Quintet, The Tall Boys and many others. He has performed and recorded with many other talented folks including The Hot Club of Cowtown, The Asylum Street Spankers, The Flying Neutrinos, Butch Thompson, Lyle Ritz, Becky Kilgore, Danny Barnes, Suzy Thompson, Matt Munisteri and Rani Arbo.
